Influencer Legal Hub

The Influencer Legal Hub is a free library of resources about European consumer law, self-regulation and media law applicable to influencers to operate in or have audiences from the European Union. The goal of this library is to make law more accessible and clear to influencers, managers and any other players in this field. This resource library has been developed in collaboration with the European Commission, and is currently maintained by the project team of the European Research Council Starting Grant HUMANads, hosted at Utrecht University.

Video training on European consumer law

The law that applies to influencer marketing is complex and sometimes difficult to navigate without hiring a lawyer or knowing where to look for clarifications. This training consists of 10 videos that will help you understand European consumer law and why that's important for influencer activities.

Legal briefs

Legal briefs are the written companions of the video trainings. In each legal brief, we go into more detail about the laws explained in the videos. We also link to further resources such as cases from the Court of Justice of the European Union, and general legal literature.

To help you have access to even more resources, we have put together a list of consumer authorities, self-regulation organizations and media authorities where you can find more information about specific requirements at national level in the EU.
